for over 40 years, the new providence school district has showcased student illustrations of new providence landmarks or themes on the district holiday card.  the entire collection of artwork was recently digitized, and we are now happy to be able to share these student mr. leader was nominated by salt brook principal, jean drexinger. the award was bestowed on mr. leader at the board of education meeting on thursday, december 13, 2018.  the impact teacher program is designed to recognize teachers and staff who, through their actions, efforts, and accomplishments, have made a significant impact on the lives of our children.  teachers or staff are nominated by administration through a written statement of. the new providence board of education has issued an additional public statement concerning negotiations. .   our schools newsletter - october (science students investigate essential questions) we would like to share the new providence music education program highlights for this fall.  click here the district-wide character education kick-off on tuesday, october 2nd, was designed to coordinate with the national week of respect.  the new providence school district created a film where students, staff and teachers were featured sharing what do you love about np? or what good deeds have you done? or are you involved in any community service projects? character education lessons are incorporated into the curriculum in all schools in the district, and unite the students in a common theme focusing on messages of kindness, respect and empathy for others.  each school participated in events to support the character education kick-off and the week of respect ranging from wearing blue to raise awareness about bullying, to a lip-sync battle with a character forums.  the purpose of these forums is to provide the school community with an informal environment to discuss important topics in the district.  opportunities will be provided for attendees to ask questions and engage in a dialogue.
