The hamlet was so far out of the way that even the docks seemed seldom used, save for the fishermen who made their living off the sea day in Clemont’s accomodations came in the form of a nice woman who rented out her rooms in the form of a bed-and-breakfast style establishment. Clemont had noted that he wasn’t the only one who had sought shelter there, but he was already well on his way to bed before he even had the chance to say hello. Suffice to say, the boat ride from Kalos had taken a lot of out of him, and he’d grown especially tired from that strange game of cat and mouse with what he speculated to be the ship’s resident Magnemite. But Clemont felt well-rested enough that he raised himself from his bed with a long stretch of his arms and a yawn before blearily looking towards the soft morning light flitting through the translucent curtains that adorned the cozy window of his temporary abode. Still wrapped in his nightgown, Clemont drew back the curtains, squinting as the full radiance of the rising sun greeted him. He grunted in reflex as he drew his face away for a moment before it all came back into focus. The greenery of the Kanto region was a different hue than Kalos: de*per and seemingly more rugged. Perhaps that was simply the wilds around Pallet Town, but Clemont knew he would soon find out.
