a 4 ★ french getaway located in prades at the foot of the pyrenees. rated 9.9 and exceptional by guests booking through booking.com ideal as a base to combine your walking and trekking in the pyrenees; discovering beautiful villages or following les routes des vins. welcome to paradis gite situated in the small market town of prades, the starting point for exploring the pyrenees and the mythical canigo. hosted by paul & karen smith paradis gite was an old an*mal barn which has been carefully restored and renovated to a high from: the town centre; the train and bus stations where with a 1€ ticket travellers can access perpignan and further. supermarkets are a 5 - 15min walk. the nearest electric car charging point is 5 mins away. the building is on two floors. the kitchen on the ground floor is equipped to a high standard with all the amenities you would wish for. the patio provides for outdoor dining with a gas plancha. there is a large shower on the first floor along with a king size bed. free toiletries and a hairdryer are provided. guests have the benefit of a large  flat-screen tv with netflix and international channels. a separate toilet is on the ground floor. the balcony on the first floor provides an opportunity for guests to sit back, relax  and catch the evening sun. guests have access to the shared heated swimspa (april - october) and garden. the property benefits from dual air-con and a free use of bicycles and fishing rods are available if booked in advance. maps of the local area and walking poles are provided at no additional cost. if required, meals can be booked in advance. aperitif co*ktails can be ordered from the recently introduced menu. long stay lets with reduced rates are available on application. the area which benefits from 300 days of sun a year, is ideal for access to: climbing, hiking or skiing in the  pyrenees; the mediterranean beaches of canet and argeles-sur-mer and the many nearby beautiful médiéval french and spanish villages. combined with the
