beach and trail rides.  Located just 15 minutes south of Downtown San Diego, our rides tour a beautiful RIVER VALLEY NATURE PRESERVE.  Our Beach, Swim Adventure and Sunset Rides take you through the Preserve to the only beach in San Diego where you can ride a horse! Our Riverbed Ride is a placid escape into a little known part of San Diego filled with fragrant, lush greenery and occasional wildlife viewings. We take riders out 7 days a week with the last departure between 4 and 6:00 pm depending upon the season and tour. No experience is safe and fun, hand-led pony ride. We are open Saturdays and Sundays from noon-4 pm and have ponies available for children under 8 years old who weigh less than 70 pounds.  Our pony rides are specially designed for nervous, first-time riders and consist of three laps around a corral with an experienced guide. Got a herd of kids? We also offer our Pony Carousel with small, medium and large sized ponies.  And it doesn't end with ponies - come pet a piglet, goat, chicken, bunny or other critter in our Petting Zoo. When you add up our scenic location, beautiful ponies and delightful petting zoo you'll quickly see that a visit to Pony Land is a lot more than just BIRTHDAY PARTY PACKAGES! Start with a gentle, hand-led pony ride for kids under 8. If you have a group we also have our Pony Carousel. Then spend some time in our petting zoo with some of our amazing creatures including bunnies, a mini cow, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and even some exotics including a peaco*k, camel and zebra! We offer a large western-themed picnic party area complete with ready-to-use picnic tables and a buckboard BBQ.
