a warm-ish Arizona Christmas in Yuma with my parents, enjoying the company of 60 of our friends. This Log Cabin Christmas Wreath quilt is made in Island Batik fabrics and was gifted this holiday season.  One of my sons said it was a good thing the red didn't swirl the other direction, otherwise it would be a swastika.  Kids!! There is an apex of housework that involves having everything in the house clean at the same time, where it just doesn't get any better than that.  The clothes laundered, the dishwasher cleared, the floors mopped, dusting done, the bed changed, etc...dare I admit this only happens a few times a year for me these days.  Christmas time is one of them. I realize it's Christmas Eve, but if all your other preparations are done, there's still time to make this scrappy triangular bipyramid scrap ornament! It's a very relaxing and thera*eutic project (except the deadline!) batiks - stitched to black felt. If you have extra time, go wild with the freemotion quilting, decorative stitches, and couched yarns. Well, Merry Christmas, Everybody! It seems we just can't stop saying it, doesn't it? We had a wonderful dinner with family last night. Everything went off without a hitch, except that I put the meat in the oven way too early and found it ready hours ahead of time.
