A WEEKLY PODCASTING EXPLORING GREAT POLITICAL REVOLUTIONS. NOW: THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION. NEXT: THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION. Was Pancho Villa an Avenging Angel, Robin Hood, or King of the Bandits? Yes. After becoming President, Madero decided to alienate his old friends.  After being elected President of Mexico, Francisco Madero enjoyed no peace.  In the summer of 1911, Francisco Madero was not quite President. And that was a bit of a problem. As I you will hear at the beginning of this weeks episode, my family and I just spent a week at a fa*mhouse in Auvergne. Mostly it was a much needed vacation, but the site was strategically picked to be near Chavaniac-Lafayette, aka Lafayettes birthplace and childhood home. Trip was great! We should be back in Paris right now, but unfortunately a major snowstorm swept through AND our rental car broke down barely 15 minutes into our return trip. So I am writing this from a lovely little hotel in Mazet-Saint-Voy where we are stranded for at least a day, possibly two. Buried under like 2 feet of snow and a busted car. Episode 9.11 is recorded and ready to post, but my lack of real WiFi is preventing me from uploading it. I will try again tonight, but at this point...itll post when it posts.  Sulla died believing he had saved the Roman Republic. Boy was he ever wrong.  In the spring of 1911, Francisco Madero unleashed the tiger. Lets see if he can control it.  If you are enjoying Revolutions, please support the show so I can keep doing it full time. Click the link, head over to Paypal and pay
