They are using the Blockly, a visual block programming language. Students also enjoyed exploring other Learn, Play and Watch activities in Santa’s Village. Check out these students as they construct algorithms to test!   Third graders have been busy doing a variety of holiday themed activities. Students read about two types of Christmas trees (real and artificial ) and wrote persuasive essays about which type of tree is best. Some students also wrote a writing piece about “If I were a reindeer…” and made a reindeer from their own picture to go along with their writing piece.  Students also created illustrations to go with the famous poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Third graders made beautiful ornaments and created holiday artwork to decorate the third grade hall. All students made stocking bags, and each student was asked to bring in small treats to fill the bags of their clas*mates.
