About the South Carolina Information & Intelligence Center The South Carolina Information & Intelligence Center (SCIIC), also known as the SC Fusion Center, was established to create cross-jurisdictional partnerships between local, state, and federal government agencies, and private sector participants. The SCIIC serves as the central point in the state of South Carolina for the collection, an*lysis, and timely dissemination of all-hazards The Fusion Center concept is integral to the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) strategic information sharing initiative.  Fusion Centers are critical to forging strong partnerships and facilitating information sharing among the variety of government agencies and industries serving the citizens of the United States. It is important that SCIIC partners have access to actionable intelligence and information, collected from a wide range of resources, in order to successfully manage criminal, terrorist, and homeland security threats To support the information sharing initiative and as*ist our partners with their specific needs, the SCIIC provides several services, including: the production of intelligence as*essments, the dissemination of criminal, terrorist, or public safety information in real-time, and the ability to connect with the fusion center network throughout the country.  The SCIIC, as well as the national fusion center network, is capable of sharing information horizontally and vertically with partners at the local, state, and federal levels.
