Hello, my name is Harold A. Skaarup. I have had the good fortune to have served more than 40 years with the Canadian Forces, taking part in history making events and having interesting experiences with incredibly talented people in attention getting places. As a result, I have a bit of insight into the history that Canadian soldiers, sailors and airmen and women have been making overseas and at home and like to write about it from my perspective. You may find much of the data gathered here is also being presented at the New Brunswick Military History Museum (NBMHM) located near the town of Oromocto, on 5 Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown, New Brunswick.  Hal is on the Board of Directors for the Fredericton Region Museum and you will also find data on the military artifacts here there on these web pages.
