I agree, it can be frustrating to watch but tbh this is Aaron’s time to be supportive and I think he was just frustrated over the fact Robert had been arrested. He’d been angry with Marlon, Jessie and Billy over it but I think if Robert told him he didn’t do it he’d probably soften more. He’s been through prison, Liv’s been through it and Aaron knows how bad it was for both of them so he doesn’t Dean, when this is all over, you’re gonna have to let me go my own way. I don’t think either of them did it, because their hands are still gorgeous and that’s not how your knuckles look after a fight. Also, Aaron doesn’t exactly think the clearest when he’s angry. He kept having an attitude and making threats, but they were all about how he didn’t do it, but he wished he had. If he had done it, when Billy showed up, he would have said he did. Robert in protective mode is amazing. He knows he doesn’t have any priors and it’s already hurting him having to see Aaron still traumatised by the last time he was in prison. Hell, it’s probably traumatic thinking about how he coped when Aaron was locked up, and he Also, wow, they did say the Dingle feud would shock people and Debbie and Cain was too obvious.
