Two days into my freshman year at Waterloo, I decided to throw a party in my dorm room. Alex was one of the over 100 people in attendance. When he had to leave temporarily, he cleverly used that as an excuse to get my number. A few days later I received a message from an unknown number and responded with “Sorry, who is this?” We had two more chance encounters and in all three cases, I forgot who he was. The second time, we ran into each other at the basketball court near my residence and I introduced myself again. The third occasion, we were both receiving help for our math course. He was cute and I wanted to introduce myself. Thankfully, third time's the charm. On the second day of frosh week in Waterloo, Kristel had a party. I stumbled upon the loud party and the strobing lights. After many minutes of waiting at the door, Kristel let me into the party. I managed to get Kristel's number just in case I could not get back into the building. Little did I know, Kristel was also from Pickering. Sometime between October & November 2009 @ Sweet Dreams Bubble Tea, Waterloo I don’t recall having an official first date. We did however, go to Sweet Dreams bubble tea in Waterloo to play games and chat. Our conversations stretched long into the night. We went so often that one of them must have been the first. A memorable first date we had during the beginning of our relationship was a trip to St. Jacob’s market where we had deserts and shopped for fresh produce. I would have to say this was at Sweet Dreams Bubble Tea. This place was a staple during our university lives, going on late night trips to get our bubble tea fix.
