speculative fiction reviews for my ever increasing sff tbr pile i want to start this by clearly stating foundryside was a very enjoyable read. i was pulled into the story within the first page because it starts strong and i was immediately curious and captivated by sancia, a thief in the middle of a complicated job. the strengths lists, right? this week’s theme is : winter 2018 tbr i know that i might not get to all the books i want to read this winter, but here’s the list of the top 10 books i absolutely would read given all.. while most people enjoy a good heist (at least as a story), no one appreciates heists more than the wyverns featured in the world sky hawkins lives in. it’s pretty much just like our world, but with a race of people called wyverns (or as sky likes to call them: were-dragons). they are descendants of dragons that came to this.. today i am happy to host a spotlight for dark of the west by joanna hathaway, featuring the new cover design as well as an excerpt. first, i love the the new cover, it is simple, but there are details in the corners that spark interest.  and i love the sound of this one and. waiting on wednesday – gods of jade and shadow by silvia moreno-garcia. a weekly meme hosted by bionic book worm where we list 5 books for the given topic. we all love lists, right? top 5 books i didn’t get to in 2018 so, this has admittedly been a slower than normal year for me reading wise. that means the number of books i haven’t gotten to so, i rarely read paranormal romance, which this book falls squarely into, but you know, sometimes the mood just strikes to read a book were pas*ions run high. i’ve not read any of jeaniene frost’s other novels, but evidently this one, while a first in series,  is set in the same world as other books and features a character, ian,.. stacking the shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! so here’s what came my way since my last post! it’s been another couple of great weeks for book additions!   received for review     harper voyager was very good to me again. i
