the park people works to preserve, enhance, and advocate for denver's parks, recreation resources, open space and urban forest. we pursue celebrate the birth of a child, the memory of a loved one, or a special event with a tribute tree or paver this spring, the park people will distribute over 1,000 trees to residents in denver! these trees will grow to cool our neighborhoods, help us conserve energy, filter air pollution, provide habitat for wildlife, beautify our neighborhoods, and absorb and store greenhouse. applications are due february 15, so we need to spread the word now -- and there are many ways you can get involved! thanks for your valuable support of the denver urban forest! 12jan2019 the ne park hill neighborhood to distribute informational doorhangers.  well meet as a group, and then head out in pairs. its easy and fun! the canvas* will occur from 9am to noon.  free hot coffee and light snack provided. you’ll leave doorhangers letting people know about this special opportunity to receive free and low-cost trees. these trees will grow to cool neighborhoods, conserve energy, filter air pollution, provide habitat for wildlife, beautify our neighborhoods, and reduce not only will you be helping the environment and our local community, it’s also a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise, and thanks for your valuable support of the denver urban forest! individual donors are the single most important contributors to the park people. they are at the root of each tree we plant and every project we undertake. the more you can give, the more the park people can do. plus, your contributions are tax deductible.
