It is decorated with old cricket memorabilia, as Thomas Lord was buried in the cemetery near the pub. I needed to find a place to eat middle distance between family members. So I stuck a pin in a map. The Thomas Lord is a traditional village pub, wooden floors, open fires good beers. The food, though simple sounding, was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The steaks were cooked as requested and the ox cheek dish was sublime. The service was attentive but not over bearing. I hope to return in This is a wonderful pub, plenty of oak and leather, with its fair share of clas*. We came for the food and it didnt disappoint. Mainly sourced locally, superbly presented, and equally up to measure on the taste front. Fantastic!
