The Town of Conklin lies in the southerly part of Broome County and is bounded on the north and east by the town of Kirkwood, on the south by the Pennsylvania State Line, and on the west by the Town of Binghamton. Conklin was formed on March 29, 1824 from the Town of Chenango. Conklin is the largest village in the town and is not incorporated. The Town of Conklin covers approximately 15,077 acres and as of 2010 has a population of 5,441. Not-for-Profit groups can meet in the meeting room of the Castle, free of charge.  No fundraisers.  Currently the room is booked Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. and the second Friday of the month, noon - 3 P.M.  The building is open 8 A.M. - 4 P.M. Monday through Friday, except for holidays.  Please call 607-775-3454 to make arrangements.
