On August 19, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Lucille Baugher who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon (John) Gladbach, Barbara Tuggle, and Diana. Born May 8, 1934 in Elmer, Missouri, she was the daughter of Lawrence Hertzler and Marybelle Spencer Hertzler. On June 6, 1954 she was united in marriage to William Andrew Bullock.
