Victor Edem was born and raised in the vibrant city of Lagos, West Africa. He is from Ikot Nseyen Iman, Etinan local government area in His father Mr. Edem.O.Edem, was a DJ popularly known as Eddy Funky. He grew up listening to various African records from his Father's library. And from an early age he developed a love for music.  He began playing the trumpet at 17 but developed interest for jazz and gospel when he joined the trumpet and ministerial academy headed by Nathaniel Bas*ey.He was inspired when he saw Nathaniel Bas*ey, a prominent Nigerian gospel music icon in concert over ten years ago and since then his pas*ion for gospel and jazz music has grown. His zeal for the jazz form later stirred him to seek out for knowledge, he then went on to study jazz improvisation at the Society of Performing Art in Nigeria(SPAN) with the legendary Bright Gain.He also attended several online music courses to further improve his He has worked with several musical artist and shared stages with both local and international artists.
