laboratory village itororó - experiments of a life in common. the itororó village is an architectonic complex idealized by francisco de castro, with more than ten buildings built during the twentieth century for residential and leisure purposes. the itororó village was listed as patrimony by the conpresp and the condephaat. in 2006 it was decreed a public utility area, having been expropriated by the state government and by the São Paulo City Hall for cultural purposes. the restoration of the village itororó, started in 2013, is carried out through a partnership between the municipal secretariat of culture of what happens behind the sidings of a restoration work? when a work is finally ready? who defines the future uses of a place being restored?
