Welcome to the am*teur radio web site of Peter Miles , VK6YSF.    The purpose of this site is to promote am*teur radio and also as a way to docu*ent and share the various radio activities and projects that I currently reside in the Town of Northam about 80km east of the city of Perth in Western Australia. I moved here from Melbourne, Victoria after taking on a position with the state electricity utility as a distribution designer in October 2007. I first obtained my am*teur radio license in June 1979 with the call of VK3YSF which I held until October 2007. After moving to Western Australia it was required that the call reflect the new state. I simple selected VK6YSF. I'm not one for unnecessary change! Other Interests have included Hiking, Rock Climbing, Caving, Photography, Astronomy, Home Renovating and Gardening.
