By initiating a lawsuit that claims authority over UCI by virtue of Rev. Moon’s, and now Mrs. Moon’s authority, Family Federation made it a foregone conclusion that this authority would be challenged in court and that Mrs. Moon would be called on to defend that authority.  Family Federation held out as long as it could and tried to prevent her from having to testify, but could not avoid the inevitable.  When she finally testify, they tried to sal that deposition from being accessed by the public.  It was during this time that specualtion grew among some of us as to what was Family Fedration affraid of.  My curiosity was peaked by such questions, so I decided to track down video copies of that deposition.  What became abundantly clear from watching all 13 clips, was that the central theme running through all the questioning was in regard to the nature of that authority.  Below are two example of the line of such questioning: her position of True Mother.  Her supporters challenge the English translation, but she does not.  She does challenge her husbands authority to take that position away from her though.  This starts at the 23:00 mark.  At the 29:00 mark she is asked whether Rev. Moon had the authority to remove her status as “True Mother.”  She responded, “No, he did not.”  If Rev. Moon did not have authority to revoke her status, why did the two of them have the authority to revoke their sons’ statue? The whole question of authority is at the heart of this mess and I hav long maintains that we need to put more emphasis on the authority of our own Original Mind.
