The cats and dogs at the Williamson County Regional An*mal Shelter (WCRAS) have written their list to Santa, and each and every one of them listed Home or Family as what they wanted most of all. Make their wishes come true by adopting or fostering a pet during the holidays this year. For the month of December, all ad*lt dogs and cats are only $12 to adopt, kittens and puppies are only $75 to adopt. Williamson County offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on December 24, 25, and 26, 2018, as well as on January 1, 2019 for the New Year’s holiday. The Williamson County Regional An*mal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Christmas Day, and open regular hours on December 26, from noon to 6 p.m. The shelter will be open New Year’s Eve 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed New Year’s Day except for lost dog or cat intake and reclaim. The Williamson County Landfill Williamson County Brown Santa is collected unwrapped toys and gifts for children at several locations around the county. Click this story for a list of barrel locations. The Williamson County Brown Santa program provides as*istance to families in Williamson County living outside the geographical city limits of any town or city within Williamson County that does not provide a similar program. Brown Santa donations are utilized to purchase toys, books and other items needed to make the children’s Christmas brighter.  Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. which have used this operating schedule since February 2017.
