we’ve come a long way in two decades, and have some wild stories to prove it. our tale begins in 1996 with two entrepreneurs and a dream: to free albertans from the tyranny of boring beer. mike and alan’s strategy was simple: put wild rose beer in the hands of albertans, and it will surely win their hearts. through 2 decades of block parties and adventure sports – with an old air force hangar thrown in for good measure – the strategy worked. today, we’re proud of our award-winning creations. but we’re most proud to be alberta’s craft beer.. we create awesome beer for an awesome province. wild rose is locally owned and operated, and only available in alberta.. our quality control and innovation lab helps us brew the freshest, most creative beers. our commitment to the craft ensures we maintain. named a top employer by canada’s top 100 small & medium employers, we’ve created 52 awesome careers (“paid hobbies”) for albertans. our community-minded initiatives lend a neighbourly helping hand to other organizations dedicated to making alberta even more awesome. our mission is to pack each bottle, keg and can with the alberta spirit: wild, strong, and free. we’ve experimented with mixing our beers to make alberta’s wildest craft combinations we’ve come a long way since delivering kegs in the back of a ’99 yukon, and people have noticed. here are the shout outs closest to our canadian brewer’s awards judges selection. as a young brewery trying to stand out we may have invented a beer category. though we won a fictional category, this remains one of our favourite shout outs. there are some amazing craft brewers on this planet, so it’s an honour to have one of our concoctions make this list. like many good things, fresh is best. all-natural preservative-free beers like ours are no different. we’re proud to serve alberta the freshest, tastiest, and wildest beer around. this means we’ve invested in the people and processes necessary to deliver. check out
