This is my DC motor, it does not currently work. I am still in the process of fixing it so that it works and spins. The DC motor works as power flows through the brushes, the electromagnetic wires then are surged with power. As they power flows through the wires the magnets pull the arma*ure , then as the commutator is spinning the power is quickly turned off, and then on. The momentum is kept, by the magnet pulling and then pushing the arma*ure. This keeps the DC motor spinning. I found that the DC motor problem was that my brushes were causing to much friction. I tried using wires and positioning them in different ways. I used paper clips to try to decrease friction but they only increased it. As of right now I am using bras* fasteners to try to get this motor to work.
